About the Host City - Da Nang
Da Nang ranks as the fifth-largest city in Vietnam based on municipal population. Positioned within the Midlands of Vietnam, it sits at a nearly equal distance between the northern capital of Hanoi and the southern hub of Ho Chi Minh City. This coastal metropolis boasts an extensive shoreline, making it a pivotal port city in Vietnam.
Renowned not only for its picturesque beaches but also for its strategic geographical location, Da Nang is nestled against the grand Truong Son mountains while the Son Tra Peninsula gracefully embraces the sea.
Da Nang experiences a tropical monsoon climate characterised by two distinct seasons: a typhoon and wet season spanning from September to December, followed by a dry season from January to August. The city maintains an average annual temperature of approximately 26°C.
